TRUMPETS, Inc. is Asia's first professional gospel theater group and over its
twenty years of existence has transformed the Gospel message into fun, funky yet incredibly high quality productions. Trumpets roots were established in the late 1980's when a batch of young but seasoned Christian performers and theater professionals got together because they wanted to use their talents for God. After successful stagings of Joseph the Dreamer and First Name, the demand for more was so strong, it dawned on them that they needed to get organized and become an official company.
And so the Triumphant People's Evangelistic Theater Society was incorporated in 1991 changing the face not only of Christian entertainment, but Philippine theater itself. The company is widely known for both it's original musicals and for training many future stars in it's yearly workshops called Trumpets Playshop. In the pursuit of sharing the message of life, Trumpets has received acceptance and recognition for its fine work by the both the practitioners
and audiences of the entertainment industry in the Philippines and the rest of Asia.

MESSAGE
Trumpets' plays carry universal themes that supersede national and sociocultural borders: Family, Love, Hope, Forgiveness, Reconciliation and Faith.
METHOD To achieve its goal to go global, Trumpets' shows are written primarily in English in order to penetrate the international market. The company specializes in developing original material to reach a wide cross-section of society. The shows employ a definitive approach -- a "mestizo" blend of theater and concert which appeals to both die-hard theater enthusiasts and pop culture audiences. MEMBERSHIP TRUMPETS boasts of some of the biggest names in the local theater, film, television and music industries. The leadership is composed of respected producers, directors, talent managers, business people and performers. The talent pool and membership roster is no less stellar: Renowned performers such as Gary Valenciano, Christian Bautista, Sam Concepcion, Karylle, KC Concepcion, Agot Isidro, Nannette Inventor; theater stalwarts Audie Gemora and Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, concert director Freddie Santos, film director Steve Cadd, writer-director Jaime del Mundo, and accomplished musical director/arranger Mon Faustino plus a great new batch of rising young talent. Trumpets also employs technical and production people from the best talent management companies, commercial production houses, advertising agencies, television stations and theater groups. MASS APPEAL Trumpets wants to reach not just a specific sector of Philippine society but all sectors, all ages, all nationalities with the Gospel message. Trumpets' productions have been performed throughout the Philippines and many other nations such as Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Lebanon, Guam and the UAE. |
